Putin and Kim Vow Closer Ties Ahead of Alaska Summit with Trump

Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un have vowed to deepen bilateral cooperation, Pyongyang’s state media reported Wednesday, just days before Putin’s scheduled summit with former U.S. President Donald Trump in Alaska.

According to the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), the two leaders held a phone conversation on Tuesday in what was described as a “warm comradely atmosphere.” Both affirmed their commitment to strengthening ties in the future, underscoring a continued partnership amid shifting global diplomacy.
