Alexander Isak wants to leave Newcastle United and join Liverpool this summer, with multiple sources telling BBC Sport it’s his ambition to sign for the Premier League champions before the 1 September deadline.
Newcastle rejected Liverpool’s £110m bid on 1 August, after which the Reds hinted they might walk away. Manager Eddie Howe said “everything is in play” regarding Isak’s future but confirmed he can’t include the striker in his current plans, meaning he’s set to miss Saturday’s opener at Aston Villa.
