European Union leaders have unanimously emphasized that Ukraine’s borders must remain inviolable and should never be altered through the use of force. This reaffirmation comes amid ongoing tensions and conflict in the region, highlighting the EU’s continued support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
At a recent summit, EU officials reiterated their firm stance against any attempts to redraw national boundaries by military means, underscoring the importance of upholding international law and peaceful resolution of disputes. The leaders condemned any actions that undermine Ukraine’s independence and called for continued diplomatic efforts to restore stability.
European Council President Charles Michel stated, “The European Union stands united in defending the principles of sovereignty and territorial integrity. Any attempt to change borders by force is unacceptable and will be met with resolute opposition.”
The EU has also pledged to maintain and increase support for Ukraine, including economic aid, humanitarian assistance, and political backing, aiming to strengthen the country amid external pressures.
This statement from EU leaders aligns with the broader international community’s calls for respecting existing borders and promoting peace through dialogue rather than conflict
